Will the application run on a NT 3.51 system? If so than Winframe is a better
choice that Terminal Server as there are a lot less licensing issues, and they
can be used concurrently.

Linux can be used as the bastion host of a VPN connection to the network over
the internet, but I don't see that you need that with your setup. It could of
course handle the ISDN lines, but so could any modern router. There are some
other MultiUser NT systems floating about that require Win32 clients, but I
can't recall the names, and other than little blurbs in InfoWorld I don't know
anything about them.
Don't AS/400's have an NT capability?
