Alan, have you tried the mount command I posted a few messages back in this
thread? Please try it as root, and if it works, please say so. If it does not,
please send the error message you get. If you came to a beginners' meeting and
I was helping you, I'd type that command in anyway. Now, I might ask where
(what channel, what device) your CDROM drive was on your IDE controller (you
do have an IDE-CDROM, right?), and change "/dev/hdc/" to something else, but
that's about it.

It's not going to help me, I posted the solution. Alan is the one with the
problem. All three of my CDROM drives work just swell.
