No, no... if the kernel recognizes hdc as a CDROM drive, who are we to argue?

No. I was writing about altering the mount command. But if the kernel recog-
nized hdc as an ATAPI CDROM, the cammand I sent should be just fine. Now,

Look, all you modem users are alike, after you get the system to see the 
device, then you want to USE it, and that's where other stuff can happen.
I was like that too, once (believe it or not! :)

We can sure look at config files, here or at the meeting.

Tell me, what do you get when you type this (as root):

ls -lart /dev/hcd /dev/cdrom
???
                                                         ---> RGB <---
