Re: Newbe Linux install

i don't knwo what's wrong with you. but one thing that nettled me on a
machine i tried to install linux on was the CMOS drivers fighting with the
drive. or with the RedHat install.

you might try twiddling the twiddle-able harddisk parameters of your CMOS

sorry i don't have more,

steve

Subject: Newbe Linux install

This is about my 6th attempt to install Redhat's linux. Starting with Redhad
5.0, 5.1 and now 5.2.
Below is a list of the procedure that I have used.

Installed dos on WD 850 mb drive

Fdisked drive 2 conner 1.gig and deleted partition

Installed windows 95 on drive 1

Made drive 2 a dos partition with fdisk

Deleted partion 2 with partition magic to prep for linux instal

Attempted to install on drive D:

             813M
             Dos 16-bit >=32
