kdm / xdm -- oops
i just set up xdm successfully, and then started reading through the kde
docs and discovered kdm. i set it up and ran from the command line without
issue, so i decided to put it in the rc.4 file (where slackware looks for
xdm stuff). now, when it boots up, it can't find the kdm binary at all, and
it appears to hang with the message
exec: can't find /opt/kde/bin/kdm
so, is there any special key combination i can use to get it back to
runlevel 3, or some other way to boot into single user mode so that i can
get at the /etc/inittab file? so far, every boot disk i've tried reads the
/etc/rc.d/ files and runs into the same problem.
thanks,
