All Quantum DLT drives are supposed to work with Linux (and NT, obviously).
Go to their website, and Linux is listed among the Unices that are
supported. The interesting thing is that ALL models of their DLT drives are
compatible, which isn't true for most of the other Unix flavors. We're
using one with SCO Openserver right now, and plan on buying another DLT
drive when we order our Linux server (for file/print/e-mail). They are
pretty sweet, and ours haven't given us ANY problems, vs. 8mm Exabyte drives
we used at my last job (to be fair, though, we were using ArcServe running
on NetWare, which is an administrative nightmare. Anyone who used the
original 6.0 knows what I'm talking about).
