IP MASQing

Sorry I missed the meeting tonight (someone's got to watch the kids...) -
that would have been the best place to ask this question:

I just got IP Masquerading up (in a couple of hours - and it works!). I
could only make it work by running rc.firewall (in /etc/rc.d/) as root.
RH60 system.

Q: Where is the best place to place the rc.firewall script so non-root
(read: family) users can boot up the server each day (it's a VA machine and
the fans are too loud to run all the time), establish the ppp connection,
and have the rc.firewall script automagically executed? In the /etc/rc.d
subdirectory (local scripts file) or in /etc/ppp/ip-up.local?

Thanks!
Robert
