Meeting June 22nd - Intro to Linux for MS Converts
Chris Gidman gives a repeat of this very popular presentation for those
that are new to Linux from a point and click world. This is a great
basic primer for those that are new to Linux and have loaded it on
their system, and wonder, Now What? With a good sense of humor and some
practical sugestions, you will learn much more than theory at this meeting.
Chris holds a computer science degree from Purdue University, He
has worked with Pharmacia & Upjohn as a systems engineer for three and a
half years. Some of this time has been spent navigating the HP/UX Korn shell
and analyzing Korn shellscripts. He is a "vi" bigot. His interest in Linux
spawns from a desire to publish a low cost database driven web site.
