i am 99.9% positive i dont have a modem.  When i ran 5.2 it would dial out, but i
could never get a ppp connection established.  So it would hang up after just a few
seconds.

my friend did that.  And it worked great for his computer.  But my main concern is
just getting a modem reconized.
