right, it DID work before..  the bad thing is, the drive wont work under windows.
It used to, but the driver got all screwed up when i had to reinstall 98... so it
would only run under linux.. and not it seems not even to do that..  i have 2
cd-rom drives, but the dvd one hardly ever works anyway.. so i guess i will drive
up there tomorrow and get a new cd...  i dont see how it would just quit like that
though..
