Okay, but I don't think I can be of any help until you get the exact
error messages (along with exactly what you're doing at the time).
Also check the log file: /var/log/messages and see if there is
anything in there that would help to diagnose this.
Please send exact command syntax, error messages, and file contents
here, and hopefully someone can help you. (or ask for more info :)
It almost sounds like a problem with your diskette drive if the
install process cannot make a boot diskette. Did you say other
OS's can write to the drive? Have you tried more than one diskette?
