Can only mount /dev/fd0 read-only?!
Recently I lost the ability to mount /fd0 in anything but Read-Only mode.
I'm not certain if it's something I did or a hardware problem. I can
read/write to diskettes in DOS/Windows without problem so I figured the
problem was with Linux. Lost patience trying to figure it all out so I
reinstalled Linux on two new hard discs (they just happened to arrive at a
convenient time) and I still have the same problem. I can't write to /fd0
in Linux.
Disclaimer: I am still quite inexperienced with Linux (about 3 months
playing with it so far) so I'm not certain that I didn't do something that
caused this.
Any ideas?
Jason
