Linux Demo Days - Request For Volunteers

I am the current leader of the Linux Demo Day project for KLUG. I have
a short list of things we need, and things I would like to do as far as
the demo day activities go. The event is will be sometime between September
12 and 18, so we do have some flexibility on scheduling. We should pick
a date soon, so that we can find a place to hold the event. Heres a quick
list of the things I can think of that we need.

1. First and foremost we need someplace to hold the demo. Things I would
like to see there are lots of power connections, Internet connection
(or an analog phone line,) and some place easy to get to (near 94 or
131,) so people from outlying areas can find us easily.

2. People. We need people there to show off linux, and what they do with
it. I hope we can help people install linux on their PC's also. Any
and all other suggestions are welcomed.

3. Hardware. We need some PCs, and networking equipment to show how all
this great stuff works. I have some hardware I could bring in including
a hub, but that means dismantling my home network, so I hope someone else
can help with this. I am not only looking for PC's running linux, showing
how well it can co-operate with other Alternative-OS's would be nice also.

Anything else people can suggest, please do, I don't have much planned yet,
except finishing and showing off my new "What Linux Is" sales pitch.

Please, anyone who can help at all, let me know.

Thanks

john
