What version of Linux are you using?  (Just curious... Kernel 2.2 uses
ttySx instead of cuax).

My concert is cua4.  Maybe you mean cua3 (which = com4).  

Is it a serial or ps/2 mouse?  Is it an internal or external modem?  If
it's a serial mouse, it's COM1, cua0, probably....

I know these are mostly questions, but I hope it helps somehow...
