To be honest the $14.75+S&H drive is only a 4x. A "modern" drive costs more,
but on a 486 I can't image it would make that much diffrence.

Except most of the time they ship "ground", irregardless of what you tell them.

SCSI costs only a hair more than IDE these days, the rumor of it bieng
expensive is no longer true. And to hear your U/W-SCSI-III drives spin up when
you boot the machine is a beautiful experience.
