anyone know if that drive would work on a Mac Performa? strangest thing, it
uses an IDE HDD but the CD-ROM is SCSI (not sure what generation) and i'm
looking for a replacement for my parent's CD-ROM drive cause there's is gone
nuts and died (nothing else i can possibly see to be the problem, it just
doesn't seem to be spinning anymore. i put in a laser cleaning CD just in
case it needed to be cleaned, but that didn't help. anyhow that's another
situation i have) but is that likely to work or not or it's possible, but
not a 100% certainty or what? i'm not horribly familiar with the
IBM-compatible world of SCSI and whether it's very compatible with the Mac
world or not...
