Linux help please...

	Heya.  I want to get linux on my laptop (toshiba satellite 2545 xcdt), but i couldn't go 
to the beginners meeting because it was broken.  Toshiba installed a new motherboard for 
free, however, and i want to put linux on perhaps a pcmia removable hard drive card.  Is this 
possible.  please, if you respond, dont just email the mailing list.  also email me at 
ramesh@net-link.net, because it takes me a while to check all my mailing lists, whereas mail 
addressed directly to me i read in a flash.  thx a lot.
