RE: Maximum Addressable RAM



SGI submitted a patch to handle 4GB of RAM, but it was rejected by Linus.
There are some other groups working on it also.

I believe last time I checked it was 1GB, at least on the Intel platform.
This
may increase soon as I read some corporation had volunteered to work on
raising
this limit (why do I think it was Sequent?).
