You have to lift up X's skirt and look at what it is processing. Typically you
simply need to run the "xev" command in an xterm, point your mouse in the
little window that pops up and press the funny key. A "keysym" should be
generated, and you can use "xmodmap" to map it to something else, or set your
window manager to respond to that is some way.
