Video cards. (decisions, decisions :)
I just got done purchasing a new PC (complete system),
and it's doubtful the video card that came in it is
supported by Linux (XFree86). But that's okay, since
I knew about that "problem" going into this purchase.
I know an NT person who's willing to trade my [non-supported]
video card with a card that is supported by Linux/XFree86.
I have my choice of a 8MB Matrox Millennium-II, or a
8MB STB Permedia-2 card. Both cards seem to run fine
under XF86. So, the obvious question: Which is better???
(keeping in mind my PC will run Linux/XF86 99% of the time)
Also, does anybody know if either of these chipsets support
whatever Quake-3 requires? I don't do games often, but I
like to play Quake-2 occasionally. Thanks!!!
