Hmmm.. I was kind of thinking it was for parallel port devices (tape
drives, etc.)... Obviously not....
I guess it's a bad idea to remove it, eh? <G>

Some of you know I've been smashing in my brains over PPP for 2 days
now. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I still have not got it
loading automatically during boot up, still got to get the route commands to
execute, but when I do it manually, it WORKS!!!!!
A darn good improvement over yesterday!!! <Big Grin> I feel like I just
did a triathlon... <Smile>
Bruce, I might have a few suggestions for the ppp mini-howto on the
website, but it was the document that got me going in the right
direction.... I tried diald (and removed it!) and a need to RTFM a little
closer next time...
