Help! If you desire.
I am trying to setup my first Linux box to be an internet gateway for my
home network.
I have read the article by John Beimler and am trying to implement it.
I have Redhat 5.2 installed and have gone through all of the steps. When I
get to the part where I am instructed to run pppd :10.0.0.2 My computer
responds
pppd: demand dialing is not supported by kernel driver version 2.2.0
How do I compile my kernel?
Any ideas what I should do from here?
I can telnet into the Linux box from another computer on my LAN.
I have a static ip from my provider, but that I am sure will be a question
for the future.
Thanks in advance,
-Thomas

p.s. Yes I am an advanced programmer, but I am fluent with, of course,
(shhhh Microsoft products). I didn't want to say that too loudly incase
that would mean that I wouldn't get any help.
