RE: "Need for Amusement" becoming tiresome [?]

The recent turn of events on the mailing list has gotten me to rethink my
subscription to this list. My whole thought behind the "Linux Movement"
was...

Man you just said what I have been thinking for some time. I am a newbee to
Linux and I am determined to find out for myself the pros and cons of this
operating system, with or without this list. But I have been afraid to say
anything because I am Leary that a wrong word will ban me from getting the
help when I really need it. And YES THIS IS A REAL CONCERN THAT I BET A LOT
OF LURKERS OUT THERE ARE FEELING.

I posted a question just prior to all of this, called the NEWBEE in the
subject. I wonder how much more productive I would have been if I had
gotten ONE person to put as much effort in answering my question as I saw in
this narrow minded dialog. Well... at least that is my opinion for one of
the sides. In stead I was told that I should be happy that I was not told
to RTFM. I guess I am grateful?!?

Ohh yes. If I am so afraid of saying anything then why am I posting this
note? Well I don't care anymore if I don't get help. But unlike Hank, I
feel that staying with something is the way to improve it. Not abandoning
it at the first problem. Who knows, I may be the best question answerer
this list has, come a year from now. After all I have learned "What is the
best tool for the job?" is not the same as "Which tool do YOU know the
best?"
