a non Operating System question...

so i know, this is kinda not necessarily related to Linux... but kinda in a
weird "everything computer" type of a way...  the question is:

which would is better DSL or Cable modem? and why? i ask this because it's
quite possible that DSL will be readily available in my area in the next few
months from the wonder that is GTE...

thanks for any input, i understand that a lot of the feeling will be
personally driven and that's fine, so long as the rationale is explained...
