New mailing list

As a result of the recent thread regarding Windows, Linux, ease of use
and other issues, a mailing list has been set up which is devoted to those
issues. Near the end of that thread I invited anyone interested to download
my reply via FTP.

If you downloaded that file but HAVE NOT received a message welcoming you to 
the group, please send me a personal e-mail message and I will add you to it.
If you do not wish to join this discussion, there's no need for you to do 
anything, you will not get any e-mail sent to that list.

Not only is this a good way to keep this discussion going for those who want
to participate, but its also an experiment in seeing how the idea of special-
ized mailing lists works for the group as a whole. If this works out well,
we may have more specialized mailing lists in addition to this general list.
