DNS mail problems

Hi to all,
I am having difficulties with aliases for the mail on a new domain
server.  I have four registered names with 2 assigned to an older server
on IP addresses that I will be discontinuing soon.  The other 2 I have
assigned to a new set of IP addresses.  I have made the request for
internic to change the old addresses to the new IP numbers.  The new
Linux server running 6.0 is configured and is receiving email properly
with the new primary dns by name and number.  The older domain names
have been configured (by aliases) on the new server ready for the
transition from internic. The problem that I am running into is the
older domain names can not receive email from messages originating from
the new server.  I receive returned mail: Local configuration
error...The following addresses had permanent fatal errors.  From
outside domains, the old server is picking up the mail for one of the
two original domain names and the other original domain name is not
being picked up by either server.
