RE: Programming?

Programming... wow .  I used to write EDL on a IBM S/1 running the EDX os...
(flashback..)

I now have RH6.1 on two P166's at home and want to learn C on Linux.  I
understand that the compiler is there somewhere, but I don't know where to
start.  I took a brief look for a HOW-TO and came up empty handed.  Is there
some basic instructions on how to utilize (write, compile, run) the
development tools on the RH CD?
