Re: Begginer Programming Languages

my metastrategy for languages like Rebol is to lurk.

after a few years, i count the O'reilly books that are out there about it.
if there are none, it goes to the same place where Altzheimer's memories go.

if before a few years go by, i have a *problem* that can be solved most
effectively using the language, i learn howto use it or weasel a friend into
coding up something that solves it. then i study his code.

smiles and cheers,

steve

Regarding all of the interest in beginner programming languages:

What about the newer Rebol messaging language? It seems like a powerful
scripting language and supposedly has execution speed comparable to Perl.
Also, it has many internet features. One of its main advantages is its
language based expressive syntax that may make it easier to use. It is
included in Red Hat 6.1.
