lightweight window manager/desktop environment

Does anyone have a recommendation for a lightweight window manager that works
well for a machine that's low on RAM? I have a Toshiba Libretto that I take
on the road with me when I travel, and I use it mostly for programming web
applications. I can write programs just running the console and vi, but when
I want to test them, I really need to use a web browser (at least some of the
time). I installed Red Hat 6.0, and Gnome/Enlightenment is REALLY slow (16 Mb
RAM Pentium 133 Mhz I believe). I have dabbled with things like fvwm, but I
am hoping the experts here can save me some research time in coming up with
the best solution.
