Not prevalent enough!

Which is VERY MUCH like. "I can't find a good date for that time
management class", or "I never can find the time to learn smething
new, I'm so snowed in by what I'm doing now........"
Silly? Yes! Richard is not talking about some script that gets written
out as fast as you can fix the typos. I've been on projects (APL and
non-APL) where doing a prototype (APL or non-APL) had a great deal of
impact on the final cost of the project... always to the good.
I can go into the war stories if you like, but protoyping is a real
cost SAVER. Cheap proof-of-concept is great for lotsa reasons, and
any mistakes you make in the protoype are usually spotted sooner, and
fixed more easily, yielding better final design.
