When I check the runlevel editor in the controlpanel, it shows that at
level 3, my start-up level, network IS included and, consistent with that,
rc3.d has a symbolic link, S10network, to init.d/network.
Perhaps an error that I get when exitting linuxconf is indicative:
everytime I leave linuxconf, the actions to be taken before closing
include reloading /init.d/network and init.d/nfslock. The latter always
fails to reload. Any more suggestions?
