When installing my Mandrake Linux 7.0 I chose to have my x client start 
automatically.  Then when using sndconfig to configure my Sound Blaster card 
it tells me that I shouldn't use this program in x windows.  The only thing 
I can find to exit x is to hit cntl+alt+backspace keys but that just 
restarts my x session.
