What kernel version are you using right now?

The latest is 2.2.16, I believe...

The safest way to upgrade the kernel is to do a RedHat upgrade (kind of
like a reinstall).  I tried to upgrade just the kernel RPMs once and
everything broke.  You're probably not up to compiling your own kernel
yet.
