It should be noted that by "stock components" I'm talking about
the software.  It does not mean that I'm running a stock install.
In most cases the software requires customization in it's config
files, depending on how you want it to function.

I should mention that the latest version of IMP requires RH 6.2
have it's version of PHP upgraded and PHPLIB installed.  Extra
downloads.  (I was playing around with it yesterday).

And if you want to keep an address book and personal preferences
for users, a database is required.  I'm running Postgresql off
the RH 6.2 CD.

The above assumes reliable hardware.  I highly recommend ECC
memory on any server.  (and all MY desktops :)
