netbios-ns failing

Just a quick Samba-related (possibly) question:

-) xconsole is giving me the following message(s), it repeats over and
over:

Jul 16 23:32:51 kerrville inetd[159]: netbios-ns/udp server failing
(looping), service terminated

I understand most of it, but I don't understand why the service is
failing and being terminated, and if it had been terminated, why do I
get the message over and over?  I'll have to go check my logs before I
get too excited.

I have installed Samba 2.0.5a, read the O'Reilly book on Samba, well,
some of it, well, up to the SWAT part, then I just put the book down
'cause Samba started working at that point.  Why read the rest, eh?  he
he

Is there a remedy for my failing server?
