zip drive and CD-RW

  I have two questions:

  1. My ATAPI zip100 drive does not work in RedHat 7.0. My machine has
both IDE and SCSI hard disk, and the boot message indicates the zip
drive was recongnized as an ATAPI floppy drive. I went over the zip
drive howto and got the impression that SCSI emulation is needed to
get the ATAPI zip drive working properly? My dilemma is can I enable
the SCSI emulation for the ATAPI and still have my SCSI hard disk
working? Do I need to compile kernel in Redhat7 to enable the SCSI
emulation? or is it built-in already?

  2. How do I get my CDROM drive to read a CD-RW disk in Redhat 7? the
CDROM drive is capable of multireading in Windows. is there anything
similar to the Adaptec UDF reader in Linux?

  Thanks.
