not to start another flame war, but if my memory serves me, even when windows
95 and 98 finally came out, each ended up being found with so many problems
that they have seen multiple versions.

At least with open source, I expect as much - especially with a 'free' price
tag on it.  I doubt seriously that gates will be giving W2K away any time soon.
 But would be willing to bet version W2K release 2 will end up being a
necessity before 2000 is over...
