M$-Windows 2000 Active Directory - Obviosuly derived from LDAP,  LDAP developed at the UofM (open source)
M$-Windows 2000 Security Subsystem - Derived directly from Kerberos, developed at MIT (open source)
M$-Windows 2000 Terminal Server - Based upon the thin-client concept,  where did that come from? X Consortium (open source)

Hmmmm..... this would be funny if I didn't think our leaders were ignorant/corrupt enough to accept the argument.
