If your DOS partition is /dev/hda1 (fiorst partition primary ide drive) 
you'd do something like mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos where /mnt/dos is an 
empty directory

Yes, replace the * with the rpm file name and that should work.  For 
GUI-ness there is gnorpm under GNOME.
