Yep, I looked at that one.  The no serial port is bad.  I jack into a lot 
of Rs-232 management ports and my lowly Palm 100 is serial. :(

Also the HP lets one add 1Gb of Ram vs. just 512Mb on the Toshiba.

Yes, I've used one.  Don't remember the brand.  That and my cell phone 
plugs into a USB port and shows up as a serial port (like it was plugged 
into a Hayes compatible modem)
