We tested it at the meeting and it recognized a card, beeped, etc... I'm
currently using an Orinoco PCMCIA wireless card with worked right off
the bat.

I've also since played a DVD.  It worked without doing anything.  Xine
has apparently yanked all support for DVD/CSS and reports a really
confusing error like there is a problem with the DVD driver.  With
libdvdcss installed from freshrpms Oogle played the encrypted DVD in
both a window and full screen without any problems.
