I've acquired a JVC GR-DVL522U Digital CamCorder. It has a USB cable, but when plugged in -zilch- happens, no messages in dmesg, nothing. The manual says you have to boot the PC with the camera plugged in and on, so I tried that (even though it doesn't make any sense). Any ideas? Anyone used one of these before?
