I don't know.
Feel free to try it and report back. I'm not that brave. :-)
I doubt it'll help much. Most notebook drives are only 4200 RPM
(a few are 5400 RPM), and changing the buss speed (or anything else)
won't overcome that limitation.
FWIW, my old Sony laptop had a 5400 RPM drive. My new Toshiba has a
4200 RPM drive. I'm not sure about the speed difference, but another
BIG difference I noticed is the 4200 RPM drive produces a LOT LESS HEAT
(and probably lower battery usage), so it's not all bad ...
