I've had good luck with nvidia cards in general.  They are supported by
stock RH 9 or you can download binary drivers from nvidia.com which work
even better (just remember to reinstall them after a kernel upgrade).

You mentioned Matrox before, and those cards work GREAT out of the box
with RH 9.

I have a Matrox at work, and nvidia at home and on my laptop.  I'm very
happy with both.  I'm not a gamer, so I can't say which is better there
(if you even care).
