I have an Epson Perfection 1660 Photo scanner and it works flawlessly
in RH 7.3 through RH 9. I really like it. Works nicely with Xsane,
GIMP, other apps and Epson Iscan:

I use Xsane. The version of Iscan I tried (1.5.1-5) was a little
'iffy', it worked and may have improved since then.
