You can run the Dos emu under linux, or off floppy is fine too.

It is like a Knoppix Windows (live, bootable Windows install).
Microsoft came up with the product a couple of years ago, but it has limited
distribution.  BartPE is a homebrew recreation of the project.
(also a good way to switch people to Linux but give them this as a way at 
old Windows progs)
I also rolled in datarecovery, Antivirus and others with mine. (although 
Knoppix STD is
one of my altime favorites to use ;)   )

Except you don't get md5 checksums to make sure it's not corrupted 
(intentionally or during download).
Remember to try and backup your firmware (or download an old version as well).
