Better yet, how about two model numbers?  :-)
These are the ones I know of:  Linksys WRT54G & WRT54GS.

The "GS" is newer, costs slightly more, and has a lot more memory.

The "G" is a little wider Linux support, but I suspect that'll change
soon, especially after they exhaust the memory limits in the "G".

Personally I bought a "GS" for future expansion.
