I am not sure if the Lite-On drive will work with SuSE 9.x but I know 
that you can get it for like $33.00 if you look on www.pricewatch.com 
for a vendor.  That is about half what you are looking at.  For the $$ 
you are looking at you can get a pretty nice DVD burner.  That is by far 
the way to go. They will burn CDs too!  Now if there was just a really 
nice video editing package and a nice dvd authoring package for Linux... 
Well video editing there is MainConcept.  I have tried the demo and it 
is not to bad.  DVD authoring is a whole other story though (And I am 
not talking about just burning the stuff to the disk!).  It is hard 
enough to find a good authoring program for Windows or Mac.
