I'm sorry, but I don't understand... Are you saying Lite-On is or is
not "cheapo", or "cream-of-the crop"?

I picked that model, because it was the only one listed under:

Also, I DO NOT COPY STUFF.

Let me re-ask my question...

I currently have a TDK CDRW121032 that I used for data/image
backups.

My thinking was to get a DVD reader so I can load the SuSE DVD
instead of 5 CDs... that is why I picked a LiteOn combo unit.

But, maybe I should get a DVD writer so I can have much more storage
to backup my systems, instead of using 2-3 CDs.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
