1.)Disabled in the bios
2.)The drive died
3.)The power supply leg is cold
4.)The cable has come loose
5.)The mechanism is so wound full of cat hair it can't even detect the
presence of media (yep, this has happened; cat hair is EVIL!)
6.)Someone stuffed it full of cash (yea, this one actually happened too)
